Sorry, I'm usually quite good with computers, especially HP's. And as of the moment, i don't know weather or not i need a BIOS Update. A couple re-formats ago, i Don't know where, but i had gotten a message from somewhere that i need a BIOS Update... But when i updated my BIOS on my Vista x64, it...somehow... crashed/fried my motherboard, and i had to send in my faithful lappy into HP...
Now, any-one know if i need an Update for my HP? I have my specs all filled out and all, and is it possible that it can *destroy* my laptop?

The only bios HP has listed for your laptop is for Vista 64 OS from 11/2007 version F-29. So no a bios update would not be recommended for you. And yes! If you don't know how to flash your bios you can ruin the bios chip. It doesn't ruin your entire laptop but would require sending it back to HP to have the Bios chip replaced if possible. A bad Bios flash would result in you not being able to startup your system. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2100&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3224055 Fabe

Thanks you guys My dad has a m8 who's at HP, Hp still has bad support for all of their old notebooks and drivers for W7, though most of my system drivers are now for W7, but only all of the non-HP ones. Thanks thats +rep to ya both ^^
