i am confused with bios update i have a asus m4a785th-v evo mb and my bios version is 0501 now when i chec asus web site for a update there r about 10 - 12 newer versions .witch one do i pick

Read the entire BIOS updates changes history. Read the Asus forum for your mobo. Choose the BIOS version that fits your needs.

And take the time to perform the update from a boot disk.
