Click on Start orb, in the Run or Search box, type msinfo32. In the window that pops up, locate the item BIOS Version/date , your bios details are given in the "Value" column.

Now go to the Asus support webpage and navigate to support for your motherboard. Locate the latest bios available there- if its a newer version (it'll have a higher version number and a newer date), you need to determine whether its required. For this locate the changelog for the new version- this may be included in the bios update download or may be available as a separate document on the website. Go through the changelog to check whether it fixes specific problems or adds support for more hardware. If you feel, flashing will help, we can proceed further. Generally speaking, flashing the bios will not boost speed or anything miraculous but yes, it may fix specific problems.

Come back after going through the above steps.

Just be aware, if done incorrectly a BIOS update may render the mobo a brick.
