I have an ASUS Crosshair Formula IV mobo that I think is the root of my random PC freeze issues.

Recently, apart from the freezing up, I have had a problem starting PC in the morning, I have to open the case and press the reset button on the board, and then it will sometime fail to post or freeze before I get to the windows is starting screen. After several power offs and re starts it will fire up and run until it freezes, as I said at random times.
BIOS is up to date as are all drivers.

Any help would be REALLY appreciated

Do you mean that a hard reset by pressing the on/off button for 5 sec's doesn't work?

I have a new Asus Sabertooth and have seemingly random freezes. Have been testing a lot and have noticed that problems are the least (by far) if I choose the highperformance setting vs 'balanced/normal or energy saving'..
No idea whether your board has similar settings? have you tried to disable all BIOS powersaving modes? MvdB

Hi MR PINK.
Reboot and enter BIOS setup. At home menu must have an option seemed to "Load Optimized Defaults", select it and hit enter. Save the changes and reboot normally. Let us know the results.
