Bioshock from steam on win7 64bit

i can't start up the game at all, it crashes after i tell steam to launch it. i seen the other bioshock thread but i wouldn't know how to apply that to a steam game, anyone know a fix?

can you post a link the the other 'bioshock thread' please, i have not seen it. i own bioshock on steam aswell, i will install it now and let you know how i get on (wont be downloaded until tomorrow)
