Black background

Hi everyone,can any one tell me how to get rid of the black back ground that appeared one day.I seem to have tried everything to remove it but alas to no avail it wont go
HELP.

Hello Runner2, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Is it just your background that is black, and does everything else work (ex: taskbar & Start Menu)?

Without knowing more, you might check to make sure that the Remove background images (where available) box is unchecked, and that you have activated your Windows 7.
