black borders around display and picture seems downscaled

Hi guys,

So I just installed Windows 7 professional 32bit on my Acer Extensa 5430 laptop with ATI HD3200 graphics card. Well basically everything was fine already but I have another display, connected with HDMI cable. I don't know why but there are these black borders around that display and the picture seems downscaled (dizzy..). I had this problem before but it could be fixed from CCC (did that with Ubuntu, Vista and XP on this same laptop) but now when I try to install newest CCC it says that installation succesfull, but still no CCC shortcut and the installation folder is empty. I even tried to install multiple times, tried to remove everything and I'm starting to get really frustrated. So please guys say this can be fixed easily.

First off, CCC is extremely buggy (in my experience). If you have trouble installing it, you need to manually run the installer from command prompt.

Hit start, and type cmd. Right click on it, and choose run as administrator.
Then you will need to navigate to where you have the CCC installation file (move it somewhere simple, such as downloads folder).
Navigate using this command (without quotes): cd C:\users\USERNAME\downloads
The USERNAME refers to your user account name (what you log in as).
Then type in the name of the install file EXACTLY (it will tell you it does not exist if you don't) to run it.

This should work, but I don't know for sure. It won't hurt to try though.

Make sure you are installing the Mobility version of the Catayst.

Do a custom install so you can see what is being installed.

The the Overscan/Underscan settings for HDMI connected monitors are in CCC - Graphics - Desktop & Displays - Right click small HDTV at the bottom - Configure - Scaling - Overscan/Underscan - set to 0%

I didn't catch that. I agree, try that first.

Great! I think problem was in my CCC version, I just downloaded CCC for my HD3200 without thinking of mobile versions... Thanks! I think I will have some more problems in near future, so I better remember I have account here.
