I built this rig last black friday to try and save some money
specs are ,thermaltake haf x with full window
msi z97 gaming 5 mobo
intel I7 4790k oc'ed to 4.6 on all cores
16 gb ddr3 1600 xmp corsair dominator pro @9.9.9.24
3 samsung 850 evo pro's @500gb 2 in raid 1 for games
corsair gtx h100i liquid cooler 240mm rad with 2 140mm corsair air flow pwm push and 2 230mm thermaltake pull fans idle @30"c load at 40 ish
msi gtx980ti gaming 6 gpu with custom backplate
creative titanium hd dac/soundcard with custom backplate fed into a schiit lyr tube amp
corsair rm 1000 modular psu with red sleeved cables
corsair airflow 120mm fan with custom plate exhaust fan
corsair dominator pro ram cooler
red led rope lighting around case
samsung s34e790c curved wide screen 3440 x 1440 hd monitor on a ergotron lx desk mount arm
cost was right around 3500.00
the only thing that bothers me is right after i built it they came out with the 1080 cards

Ya, that`s a problem we all face, the parts we get are outdated within a year, but it`s our hobby and passion

All we can do is try to get some money back on Ebay.

One positive is that you didn`t buy 2 of them.

Hi,
Nice but it's hard to believe a z97 build cost that much
Last I saw the z97 boards were never really all that expensive
3 ssd's were a lot more

I spent about 3200.us on a x99 build
Partial build started

I'm in the process of building a Asus x99 Deluxe II with a Intel 6800k and lots more.
So far I got $3467.00 in the build. Hopefully their won't be any surprises which will make me spend more.

The damn Sales Tax was $211.00.

I also noticed a picture of George C. Scott as George S. Patton hanging on the wall.

ThrashZone not that hard to spend that kind of money believe me,the monitor and gpu alone were almost 1700.00 all by themselves and several parts had to be ordered from europe-
side cover on case from thermaltake europe,extra psu cover which hides 2 140 mm fans sucking air from the bottom up and the custom backplates were from a company called cold zero out of portugal
just the cost of international shippig was astronomical
