I currently have an amd radeon 5850 and I am having a little trouble playing black ops 2 when I play the game everything works fine and smooth besides when i zoom in with a gun my fps drops significantly so i decided to try and update my drivers and so far that has not helped. I have also set all the game settings to as low as they can go and that has helped a little but the problem is making the game unplayable any suggestions

It appears you have a laptop so short of getting a new one, I don't know what else you can do... I would have suggested newer drivers but you said you already did that.

Did you also updated your Audio Drivers? it couldn't hurt and it may help a bit. A few of the latest shooter games are very bad console ports but I don't know if BO2 is one of them.

It should be fairly easy... if you go to HP support, it should be able to read your specific model and then download the latest updates for it.

That or it should come in with an application that you can launch and it will update all on its own.

The third option is to let us know what the exact model is so we can check the specs for you.
