Hello W7Forums,
Today I was playing a match of Counter Strike: Source on my W7 32-bit pc. During the game my computer had frozen and I was required to reboot my pc, after the reboot had completed and the windows 7 loading screen finished what I was left to see was a black screen... stunned I restarted my pc again and again this black screen. The computer keeps giving me the option to "recover" the start up files but when I click on this option it says windows is loading the files but when that completes it just goes to the windows loading screen then black again. I have tried putting my windows 7 disk into my drive and using it to restore my pc but it does the exact same thing, loads up and goes straight to the windows loading screen then to the back screen.... I have been trying for hours now to get this to work! What I have: Windows 7 32-bit install disk, Windows 7 32-bit system repair disk, Laptop with windows 7 32-bit and windows 7 32-bit installed and running. Anything you can say to help will be appreacheated. Many thanks, Smile.

P.S Sometimes there is a 2x2 pixel green box in the top left hand corner...
P.P.S If there is a solution that requires all files deleted then that option is fine by me.

Its midnight and I'm kinda tired, but after removing all usb devices startup repair has appeared and is trying to fix my errors. This does not mean I am done yet :|

VGA mode uses your graphic driver same as in normal mode, only the resolution is 640x480, 8 bit (256 colors) and 60 Hz refresh. Safe mode does not use the graphics driver at all.

Are you able to boot into VGA mode? (tap f8 on the keyboard until you are presented with such a choice while booting up.)

That's not Win7 but it's same or similar.

Startup repair actually does not come up, it just skips that whole screen and goes into startup. Also, starting into Low-res mode now.

That's a good sign. Here's what I'd do before startup repairs then.

Boot again to vga mode and use device manager to uninstall your graphics driver.

Try to boot normally. If it's good, install graphics driver.

Here's a link to the latest one:
