Yes, run that FixIt in aggressive mode please. Although the name says it's for 0x2 and 0x3 errors, it also does several other things that are particularly appropriate to your problem here (resetting the SoftwareDistribution folder is the main one).
It sounds like the MS tech sorted out the Office problem which is great!
