Hi Leminhh! Insert your Windows 7 Disk and see if you get an option to boot from CD/DVD. If not go into BIOS (F12 at Acer screen) and look for Boot Order and put Optical Drive or CD Drive first. Then SAVE and reboot.

When you can boot into the Windows 7 DVD, follow these instructions to do a Startup Repair. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html

If it doesn't work first time, try it three times. If it still doesn't work, please post back with what happens.

i tried it a couple times, and it always says to disconnect all devices. I disconnected all other devices besides mouse and keyboard, and tried it a couple more times, always the same message.
any other option?

thx for helping me :D

Just a guess, and the last time I did, luckily Zeshan was there to watch my back. So heres my guess. Go to the boot menu and make sure you are set to boot from the hard drive and not a dvd/cd. Im guessing thats the cause. You prob botted from the win7 dvd and now you have to put it back the way it was.

tried it, system restore was successful, but still stuck on black screen

Ok, Again from the same Recovery Options. Select command prompt and type:"fixmbr" (No quotes) and press enter. Reboot. It should work.

If that doesn't work, go to Command Prompt again but this time type: "fixboot" (Again, no quotes) and press enter. Reboot.

tried the commands, it says fixmbr and fixboot not recognized as a command.

sorry for the difficulty

EDIT: well i searched up the command for fixmbr for windows 7 `bootsect` was the command to fix the mbr. i accidently scheduled a memory diagnostics checkup! which didnt work before when i booted it! now it does! so just wait till its done, then i``ll see if it works

EDIT: SOLVED! it works! thx for helping me : )

AH!!!!! I AM STUPID!!! I forgot the device parameter. Type this into a CMD Prompt: "fixmbr \Device\HardDisk0" NO QUOTES and remember the space between fixmbr and \Device\HardDisk0.

So I realize it's almost a year later but I encountered this exact problem earlier and wanted to express my thanks. My classes start in a couple days and my computer is an essential tool for typing up papers and such, especially as it's the only one in the house so again ZeshanA thanks a ton, you made my life so much easier being able to quick fix this myself:D.
