black screen help please

Hello,

i have installed Win 7 and now after updates All the time Black Screen.

i took off the patch Prevx not the problem.

How to fix the problem?

Can you boot into Safe Mode? If so, run a System Restore to the point just prior to the updates.

Obviously, if the System Restore didn't fix the problem, the updates didn't cause it. One thing that I don't understand from your OP is what is PrevX? The next step would be to do a repair install, and if for some reason that doesn't work, to reinstall via a backup image...if you have one. Failing that, you will probably have to reinstall from scratch.

P.S. Please fill in your system specs, and along with that, specify your exact version of W7.

i tried it and it did not work.
System specifications:

2GB RAM
Pentium Dual-Core CPU
T4200
2 GHz

windows 7 Ultimant 32bit

I may not understand you problem completely, but when you say updates, you mean the normal Windows update after the system is running and not during the install?

Try unplugging the internet and restoring then turning off Windows update to see if the problem comes back.

If it is during the install, you might try taking the install DVD out of the drive.

It happened after Windows updates.
Every time I turn on the computer appears to me the Welcome screen then a black screen with only mouse icon.

Were you able to hit CTRL+ALT Delete and get task manager to come up? If so, can you start explorer?

If you can get into safe mode, look for the file below. According to the linked article, other things may cause the problem but it seems related to Windows thinking it has expired. You might also to a regedit and search for it.

Are you offered an option to activate Windows 7 anywhere? If not, you may have a virus. If I remember correctly, mine did this once and it turned out a registry entry and been changed from winlogon.exe to winlogon86.exe. This was not the only file that had been added, but I will have to find the thread that mentions them.

Go to the device manager, un-install the driver for your graphic card, download the latest version from the manufacturers website and reinstall it... also, you should check your event viewer for any critical errors and let us know if you find any...
