black screen in windows 7

I don't know what to do I tried everything plus a clean installation but I still run into the issue of a black screen before you login to windows 7 what should I do now?

This may help, run the steps outlined in this tutorial, Option Two, and reboot the system:

If that doesn't correct the issue, run it two or more times with a reboot between.
You may get this result:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired
them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
The system file repair changes will take effect after the next reboot.

Or a message that no integrity violations were found.
Or that Windows Resource Protection found errors it cannot repair, if so rerun the steps above.

All I get with the sfc is there is a system repair pendin which requires a reboot to complete, restart windows and run it again how do I restart windows if all I get is a black screen before login?

Test your HD using Maker's HD Diagnostics extended CD scan Britton provided, followed by Disk Check from installer Command Line.

I would also want to make sure I had followed the Best Practices for Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 after wiping the HD using Diskpart Clean Command also from installer's Command Line.

I would also boot into HP Boot menu by tapping ESC key at boot to see if there are onboard HD diagnostics for your model.

I can get into safe mode so there is some hope left

OK so here is what I did, I booted into safe mode and uninstalled my video drivers which I think caused the issue now I'm in the process of running win update I keep you updated on what's going on

OK, the pending repair may have something to do with the issues. Try the other suggestions though.

Try the repairs from the Win7 DVD or System Repair CD System Recovery Options

OK everything is successfully working it turns out it was a bad video driver thanks to windows update. My system is back up and running normally .

Always go to the manuf. website for your video drivers.

NVidia, AMD etc.

If Win7 has provided a problem driver then you want to try the HP driver next as it may be modified for that model PC.
