I had a client who is triple booting 7, vista and xp. Installed each OS on separate HD. He boot on each OS by swapping HD using a HD drive bay.

Before this problem occur, he changed a keyboard and after that the PC restart and it will boot. I already tried repairing the windows 7 first using the startup repair. It was successful. But I noticed that all the HD was corrupted. Check disk runs on every HD. NTFS on each HD was corrupted. I tried to fixed each HD.

Now I am able to boot in windows 7, but I get only a black screen and only a mouse cursor. How to repair this problem w/o reformatting and reinstalling? And also I how to repair install windows 7?

is this the only solutions for this problem? Does anybody had any idea how to repair this? Ive check on the net, an i found out that this was happening with vista.
I know you can easily repair install a system, but I think theres a solution for this problem. because, i all we have to do is repair install then this ksod will occur in the future.

same result in safe mode and the rest of options on the advance menu. The only thing works is the repair pc and booting from dvd disc.

I never needed to use it so I can't say, but give a try running it in safe mode. Boot up using safe mode + networking to download it. Then run.

like ive said safe mode will result like the normal mode, KSOD. tried the rest of the safe mode options, same result.
the only way i can access inside the system is running repair pc, using the installation disc or any other livecd.
