I have problem with SSD. Since I installed Samsung Pro 128Gb SSD on my old 2008 laptop, black screens appears randomly. They appears mostly when I gaming but they also appears when Iam just browsing the web. The only thing I can do then is hard shutdown.
When i put my old HDD I dont have these problems.

Anyways, here is the video that will show you how this looks like:

@yoyo that's what I thought, but it doesn't happen with his old hdd....ruling out video card drivers and a problem with the video card as well.

That's why I asked for the temperatures, NAND flash is more susceptible to high temperatures
than conventional HDDs. On second thought that laptop might not support SSDs at all,
the last few times I encountered a similar phenomenon it was the main board / RAM.

bruno03, what is te exact model?
Please fill you system specs.

Oh really? I thought HDD could handle temps worse.....ssd don't handle temperatures well? I never knew that....I thought due to their lower powered and no moving parts they would not be affected by heat as bad as a hdd

They won't produce as much heat (due to the reasons you mentioned),
but they are affected by near by components mainly in tightly packed spaces as found in laptops.

So, whats the highest temperature that SSDs can handle? I have SATA2 port on motherboard.
I apologize for my absence last few days. I was on vacation.
