Hi guys! Thank you for viewing my post.

Now,here is my problem. It started about a weeks ago. When i was playing Sid Meiers Pirates, screen went black and the monitor's power signal was going on/off and sound seems looping like it hanged. Nothing worked so i have to restart my computer the hard way (press and hold power button) because restart button not working as well. No bluescreen messages nothing just black screen. I removed Pirates because I thought the issue was game specific but then it started happening in other game like FEAR. As soon as the game is started, the blackscreen appears randomly, Sometime I can play for 1/2 hr, sometime 5 minutes after starting the game. The only game I can play without issue is the Age of Mythology Titan Expansion and Railroad Tycoon II.
I tried verifier, gave me a dump file opened it with Blue Screen View and shows me errors on:
ntoskrnl.exe
tcpipreg.sys

Please help me I dunno what to do..

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

I recognize such behaviour... but not with the Verifier part, which seems to point to a driver....
I've seen similar behaviour as a result of too much dust etc gathering on the videocard fan - GPU temps too high etc...
Have you checked thase temps? Is your PC ok when not playing games/heavy graphics usage?

Otherwise, we'll have to get your dmp files and check, as Ken suggested. Best to post full details:

Often running verifier is "iffy". Sometimes it will report the offending driver and sometimes just point towards it. I strongly suspect your Symantec as being the true cause. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to check

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support

Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials
