Blank blue screen (not BSOD) sometimes appears after booting windows 7 until the desktop. The computer does not respond to pressing ctrl-alt-del and reset. Only if I turn off the power. In serious games, and stress tests, no problems. Last updated bios on the MB ASUS. All drivers and windows updates are latest. In what may be the reason? Please help!

Can you boot into Safe Mode? If so collect the Dump file for this by following the guide at http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html and start a new thread in the Crashes and Debugging forum with all the relevant info mentioned in the guide.

If you can't boot into safe mode or can't find the dump file start a thread there anyway asking for help on how to do so. Our experts on BSoDs will be more than happy to help.

I posted for more help.

I searched and didn't find anything to give me any ideas to help.
That is a new one for me.
Mike

They may want a BSOD report to help track the main problem down. Hardware, software or drivers even though technically it may not be a BSOD.
The report covers a huge amount of system info.
You still have to get past the blue screen for the info.;)

BSoD means Blue Screen of Death.

You are having BSoD and a freeze up.

If you post in the Crashes & Debugging forum they will help you.

Click this link: Crashes and Debugging

Click the 'New Thread' button and describe what is happening to your computer.

I have reappeared an empty blue screen after booting windows 7 until the desktop.Marked minidump in system settings but it never appeared. Also, there is no minidump folder in Windows folder (hidden files and folders are displayed). What should I do? I noticed that it appeared when the computer is not turned on for a long time

I am going to have the moderators move this thread to Crash and Debugging section.
This way you will get some help.

Okay?

You may have to make a folder for the minidumps. I'm not sure where to put this folder.

The BSOD people can tell you where to put the folder. It has a specific spot it needs to be.

Mike

Thanks Z!

BSOD crew.
Viged can't find or there is no minidump folder. Please assist to find or make a folder.

Be nice to my buddy here. ;):D
