Hey,

I'm trying to install Windows 7 on my PC again, and came to a blank screen after the reboot. I have the PC hooked up to a TV using the S-Video output on my graphics card, and suspect that win 7 is using the DVI port instead. There is no way at the moment that I can use the DVI port because I don't have a monitor that supports it.

So my question is...is there a way around this so I can use the S-video output for the rest of the installation?

Enter Safe Mode to install the TV driver in Device Manager. You should have Standard VGA graphics if you had them during install. The problem is likely that the TV tuner is starting up without the correct driver.

If Safe Mode says install is not completed, enter Device Manager using the method given at the end of this tutorial: Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation - Windows 7 Forums

Thanks, worked flawlessly. Never even thought about Device Manager from the CM...

Win7 installer has most monitor drivers but TV's, not so much.

Glad it helped.
