i have windows 7 ultimate installed and whenever i turn my pc on the packard logo shows for a few seconds, then nothing, just a blank screen until i have to click my user name to log on. my monitor says to set it to resolution 1024x768 60HZ or summin. but it is when i go into screen resolution (once comp has fully booted)

so if anyone can help me, because i have a multiboot setup and i dont no what im choosing at startup, its just a random guess.
also, i cant acces the advanced boot configuration screen, so i cant get into safe mode or anything if something goes wrong in the future.

thanks for that, ill try when i have more time. is there a way for the boot up part to be set at a diff resolution so my monitor picks it up??
ive tried checking base video in system config, the blankness is still there but when i log in the resolution is all changed, meaning it changed something but not the blankness before log in.
any ideas?
