Blank Screen?

Hello There!,

I have had my laptop for about a year now, It is windows 7 and runs on Intel Celeron. A couple of days ago I tried turning it on and everything was normal except nothing came on, I knew it was on because the blue light was on. I don't know what has caused this, it may be a virus or something rong with the OS.

The usual things

1- do you have a win 7 dvd to boot from?

2-can you boot into safe mode (F8)?

3-do you have a backup to restore from?

1. Yes I do, But when I put it in nothings happens.
2. I dont know, I have not tried it yet.

1. You may need to boot from CD, not your OS or your DVD isn't bootable
2. Try going in Safe Mode
3. (no comment)...

Ok thanks , If I go into safe mode could I try and find out what the problem is?.

Go to system restore and restore to a point before the problem started.

Type system restore in the start search box...

Ok, I tried the F8 Method but it didnt work, But what I did see was when I turned it on I could just see the writing on the screen but still the screen was very dim. (Yes, I have tried to brighten the screen).
