Hi! I have a problem, a small 1 i hope: i can' t seem to login normally into windows, i end up getting stuck at a blinking:confused: login screen with the message "please wait". When i try booting through safe mode it is successful. I have no restore point to fall back 2. All i did was uninstall a windows clear theme, prior to this event i could not install any .themepack file as it ends up displaying "could not find the msstyles folder". Is there a way around this predicament of mine or do i have 2 format my hard disk?

Welcome to Seven Forums mchris4all. Try booting to Safe mode with command prompt

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/69585-safe-mode.html

When the command prompt loads, type:

sfc /scannow

and press Enter

Let the scan continue. You might have to run it several times.

See if you can now boot correctly. If not, there are other options including Startup Repair, and ultimately a Repair install, which will save all your programs and settings.

I would suggest a System restore point from the command prompt in safe more, but you apparently had issues with theming that the SFC may just fix. A Guy
