Bloatware removal

Now I have read some of the posts in the tuts and while I would love to get rid of some of the stuff I am still not really sure of what is needed.

I am setting up a friends eMachine M355 at the moment and am constantly pestered with eMachine reg and other flipping pop ups for diags etc Now I have chuffed off the Norton thats fair enough but some of it I don't want to remove if it is essential. Thing is the little machine would be better I reckon if I could get rid of the crud, but I have no way of telling what is needed.

A win 7 DVD (or USB) a valid license, drivers for any unusual HD configurations (Like RAID).

As usual I would make a backup just to be sure

Yeah marsmimar Corinna mentioned it in another thread - haven't had time to use it yet on the machine setup or my main machine as there so many uodates coming through - but will
