Solved Blocked Websites at work?

Hey guys, whats the easiest way to access websites like youtube and facebook while at work?? I thought i seen a website u can go to that will redirect you to the restricted site.

Ask your company IT dept to let you access them.

I'm sorry but we do not allow help for people to circumvent restrictions setup on work computers.

we block sites to protect our infrastructure. Negating security policies is grounds for termination.

If the sites are blocked, it's probably for good reason. As much as I like Facebook, it's not worth losing a job over.

There are usually excellent reasons for blocking sites on a work computer -- ocasionally they get it wrong -- for example I was once blocked from accessing a HUGE provider in the UK from FRANCE called DEMON INTERNET -- I'm not sure if this service even exists anymore -- probably sold / merged etc etc. but way back it was the cheapest and best provider in the UK -- Donkeys years ago.

The Site was blocked by the French ISP who thought it was something to do with Satanic Cults and Devil Worship -- however explaining to the Admin what the site was it then there was no problem and the site unblocked.

If you can't get access there normally is a decent reason -- most decent firms now usually also provide a Free Wireless Internet service separate from the Company's own Network where you can connect YOUR OWN computer without any restrictions.

Work provided machines are a different ball game -- remember if there is ANY ILLEGAL stuff downloaded on a work computer the company could be fined literally MILLIONS of U.S Dollars (or equiv in local currency).

If your work doesn't provide a free unrestricted Wifi service maybe you could request it.
