BSOD: Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Just bought the laptop for less than 3 weeks, the following are its specs:
View attachment 256356View attachment 256357

It has been giving me blue screens, making me afraid to do homework on it.

I used winDbg to analyze the mini dump file:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If kernel debugger is available get stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 000000000150076b, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
Arg4: fffff88009316ef9, address which referenced memory

Hi blue and welcome to SevenForums . Looking at your log it points to Netwsw00.sys . That point to your Intel Wifi card driver . Update that driver either from intel or your laptop's manufacture .

Hi, vistaking, thanks!
Do you mean this one ? But it says the device is working properly...

Actually this laptop comes with a windows8 os, but I found it super incompatible with most of the software that I must use for classes. So I unistalled windows 8 and installed windows 7.
So when I called the manufacture's customer service, they told me that this laptop only has drivers for windows 8, not windows 7.
So I googled and this post BBY - Bluetooth on new ASUS Q400A-BH17N03 ? - Best Buy: Unboxed and people who bought the same laptop said that the driver should be Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 card, so I installed that and it seems to be working properly as shown in the screenshot above...

When I tried to update Intel wirelss driver, it says the driver is already up to date.

Blue screen … the image you're showing just states that the wireless device is working . They blue screen is caused of that .sys file . To fix that you install the driver software . Here is the download link from intel http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det... (64-bit)*&DownloadType=Software Applications

For a precaution lets test your RAM as well . Just cause you bought the laptop recently doesn't mean your RAM can't go bad . http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Added : Are you running Symantec norton antivirus or Norton Internet Security on that laptop ? You might want to remove that and install MSE or purchase a much better Anti-virus software than Symantec .

I think it's a driver problem instead of anything else...

Yes download File name: Wireless_15.6_Ds64.exe . It only has the driver . You don't need the Intel Wifi software .

Uninstall old drivers first

Click on :orb:> Control Panel > System and Maintenance > System
Click the + Network adapters to expand the section.
Right-click the Intel Wi-Fi adapter and select Uninstall.
Check Delete the driver software for this device and click OK.
Restart PC and reinstall driver once you get to the desktop .
