0x124 bugchecks indicate a fatal hardware error has been detected by the CPU, in order to identify the culprit download and run these tests by reading the appropriate instructions.

Stress test your CPU with Prime95

I recommend running Prime95 for around 2 hours

   Warning

As with most stress tests your component's temperature will rapidly increase.
It is advised that you download a temperature monitoring program like HWmonitor
Keep an eye on your temperatures and stop the tests if it starts to overheat

Stress test your graphics card with Furmark

I recommend running it for around 30 minutes

   Warning

Furmark will increase the temperature of your GPU rapidly so keep and eye on your temperatures

Memtest86 will test your RAM

   Information

Run Memtest86 for at least 8 passes so we get enough information to confirm that your RAM isn't failing

Run SeaTools to see if your HDD or SSD is failing

Post back the results.

Run a Disk Check to scan for errors

   Note

Afterwards go into an Elevated Command Prompt (Run as administrator) and type in sfc /scannow
If it finds errors reboot and run the scan two more times

Run SeaTools to see if your HDD or SSD is failing

Post back the results.

For your CPU it's 105 but anything near that isn't good.

Yes that is overheating a lot.
Are you overclocking?

I'll get one of our hardware experts to see what they recommend as I'm no good with hardware...

luckystrikesken, I'll help you if I can. First of all your CPU Max TJ Max is 105C, however when it is being read by software, software is notorious for being inaccurate. My CPU is the same TJ max and I like to keep it at 85 or under during stress tests. Your CPU has a reputation of being extremely hot in stress tests.

I need to know, are you overclocking and what program are you using to read CPU temps? With your cooler, you should not see those temps at stock speed unless your ambient temp is pretty high. Also, what test are you running, Prime95? What is your ambient temp?

You're saying 35C for the CPU? what about your ambient? And, are you overclocking?

Please Download and use Core temp for CPU temps. Use Core temp only. When you say you're using AI Suite, do mean you are using their auto overclocking feature? What brand and model of the Asus 760 do you have. Is it the reference model or a non-reference cooler? What case do you have and how do you have your H80 set up? On the top or back and is it blowing air from inside the case out through the rad or drawing outside air in? Trust me, all these things make a big difference. Your ambient runs about the same as mine and I have a lot of trouble with cooling. If you would, please answer all of these questions. They will help diagnose your problem. An H80 properly set up should not be running temps as high as you are getting if you are running at stock. Your CPU temps while browsing are about normal. Also, if you don't already have it, download CPUz. please read this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html , I will be asking you to upload screenshots soon, this will tell you how.

I would not continue at this time. If you are getting high 90's in 5 minutes after about an hour you will be over 100C.

OK, first rule is never use software overclocking. They will add a lot of voltage and settings that are not necessary. It will almost always over volt your CPU. If you want to overclock, learn how and do the settings yourself.
The reason I asked about your graphics card is, a reference cooler will exhaust the hot air out of the back of the case. A non reference cooler will exhaust most of the hot air inside the case. So, if you are blowing air from inside the case through the radiator to cool your CPU, it will not do as good a job. Hot air will not take the heat out of the water very well. You didn't say which case you have, but you need a good airflow case. Positive air pressure inside the case will help a lot ( more air coming in from the outside than blowing out of the case) This will force hot air out of every opening in the case, negative air pressure will suck air (and dust) in the case. It also sucks a lot of the hot air exhausted out of the case back inside. Studies have shown that positive air pressure reduces dust by 30%. I have 2 360mm rads in my case and 15 fans. Every one of my fans are sucking cooler air into the case except 1 140mm fan at the back sucking air out. I only say that to give you an example. If you could move your H80 to the top of your case and suck cooler outside air in through the radiator, I believe you will see some difference in CPU temps.

Are you sure your CPU block was installed correctly? Is it tight on the CPU and was thermal paste applied properly? Are you familiar with the bios and feel comfortable using it?
