Blue Screen Error

Grrr...So I reinstalled windows and although it has fixed many minor problems, it seems to have presented a major one. Today when I turned my computer on and played a bit of Battle Field Bad Company 2 I got the blue screen error with the "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer" stuff. I hoped this was a bug or something and turned it back on..played a bit more, then got it again about 15 minutes later. As far as I can tell I have installed all the required drivers from my GPU and mobo disks and I dont think any others are required. Any suggestions?

I also attached the error files.

I feel this may be a driver issue...whats the best way to find missing or out dated drivers excluding windows device manager.

I am working through my drivers updating what I can, will update you if It appears I have removed the problem.

And for the stuff the instructions on forums say:

The system health report seems somewhat unreliable. In my scan of it I saw it was saying my hardware performed badly, including things like (somehow) my intel i7 2600k...so keep that in mind

UPDATE: I have updated all my drivers using a copy of Driver Navigator and everything seems to be up to date now. I will test to see if the problem is gone. However my device manager now has a yellow warning sign thing next to my "Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller", however when I tell windows to search for updates it says the device has the latest software.

Hello Tomha, welcome to SF!

First thing I'd try is update your video drivers. You have an Asus videocard and have relatively old nvidia drivers. It isn't nescesarily a prob that the're nvidia, could be ok / same chipset but I'd fully de-install all nvidia software, make sure to really de-install by using Driversweeper in Safe Mode to be sure it is all gone... and then install your latest for your card from here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download EAH5450 Series

Your dumps seem to point to hardware... so, after this, if still crashing, next step is to do all standard HW tests...

PS... looking at you logs... you system quotes hw performance trouble in all areas. That is strange...
This thing is custom built? Did it ever run well?

Its a custom build, but it has always seemed to perform well, kind of hard to tell with the major bottleneck my gpu puts on the system (although id need 2 gtx 580s to use my cpus full potential Anyway ). these are the first blue screen errors i have had on the system.

I managed to successfuly use a copy of Driver Navigator to update all my drivers, things seem to run smoothly, 2/2 driver detectors say mine are all up to date, and i managed to play battlefield for 2 hours with no sign of the issue (as it was playing battlefueld when the error occured). Now im not gonna call it fixed just yet, ill have to see how things go over the next few days, but i think i got it. I believe the issur was drivers as there were 13 which needed updating/installing, several of which were audio, card drivers or PCI slot drivers, it is these which i think causes the problem as i would always get the error when the gpu was being pushed a bit.

I will run another system health check tommorow as i want to solve that supposed hardware issue. It is strange because the windows
7 performance index gives me a score of 5, coming from my low end gpu, however it still gives things like my cpu a top score.

Also my bad on the CPU, aparently top is 7.9. I re-ran the test and I got the following:

If my memory serves me right last time my lowest score was 5.0 though...interesting...and worrying.

Yeah, those are the warnings I read in your first log. I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if the unbalanced state caused by the videocard causes this...even though your performance test gives normal values for (the rest of) your system.

But then again, if you have no more prob's and can do what you want with it...
