blue screen error

i was just playing chess on my desktop and my computer restarted automatically and gave the blue screen error

i have tried changing my harddrive but it still has the same problem

it gives me this error

From your dump file, it shows this below. It looks like you may need to update your NVIDIA graphics driver to the latest version. If you already did, then try completely uninstalling and reinstalling it, or rolling back to an older driver version that did work properly for you.

Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys

how do i know which video driver to install?

It's nvidia, go to the following link and let it autodetect - NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Automatically Detect NVIDIA Products

it has a setup error.
setup detetced the opearting system in use is not windows. wheras i am using windows vista in safe mode?

Try uninstalling the current drivers, then installing the newest ones.

If you're still in safe mode you will need to boot in normal mode.

it does not let me boot in normal mode as the blue screen appears when i click on normal mode

how do u move from safe mode to normal mode on a dell e520? and when i try to install in control panel they are no drivers there for it so i cannot uninstall?

See if you may be able to boot the Advanced Boot Options to use Last Know Good Configuration (advanced). If that doesn't let you boot into normal mode, then try Enable Low Resolution Video (640 X 480) instead.

If successful, then try installing the driver.

Are you able to do a system restore at boot using a restore point (if available) dated before this all started?

ive installed the latest graphic drive and it is still not working. im still gtting a blue screen error

also wen the bios screen is up on startup where it says dell there are red lines and wen it is loadin the screen is fuzzy and has symbols running accross it
