Issue:
I have gotten multiple Blue Screen Messages and recently tried to do a clean install of windows. I deleted the old partition, formatted a new one and installed windows from a CD downloaded from Microsoft.

Unfortunately I keep receiving the same issues which is leading me to believe it is hardware related. After the comp shuts down from the blue screen, 95% if the time If i reboot normally, it will give the message "
The file may be corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum." I must then remove the memory and put it back it to get Windows to boot again. ( I am guessing this resets it or something.)

BSOD Messages:
1.
USB_BUGCODE_DRIVER
2. PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA
3. Others which I have not noted have appeared.

Hello Obarb, welcome. Is this the same pc and problem as your previous unfinished thread? Have you tried what Mike advised to do there? What was the result? I find many of the same dumpfiles here so it looks like the same?

It looks like it's hardware and Mike pointed you in the right direction. Please follow up and if same problem and pc, clos one of the threads...

yes I created a new thread because like I said, I just did a clean install of windows 7 after making that previous thread.

When running all of the tests previously suggested:
MEMTEST86: Gave a bunch of errors FIRST time I ran it, but every time after came up clean. I have run it multiple times for multiple passes and haven't been able to get errors again.

ALL other tests passed normally...

Is there anything that could suggest that it might be my video card? I ask because most of the time I am playing a game and before getting a BSOD my graphics will get distorted for a second and the sound will get "stuck". (giving me like a buzzing sound repeating as if a record is stuck on the same sound)
This is NOT always the case as I have gotten Blue Screen just simply browsing the internet or using a non intensive program.

edit: Also I marked the other thread as solved, not sure if that will close it or not

Ok... have you tested the videocard with Furmark? http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100356-video-card-stress-test-furmark.html

Hello obardb & Welcome to SevenForums!

Driver Verifier
Furmark

I noticed in your 2nd dumpfile a atikmdag.sys (ATI Video Driver) could not be verified. Either do a Furmark stress Test, or enable Driver Verifier.

Ok, I ran the test and got to 100 degree C in about 7 mins.
I didnt see any artifacts and took a screen shot.

The Fan was at 0% the whole time and I noticed it is never running... Isn't my video cards built in fan supposed to try to keep it cool? (ATI Radeon HD 5570).

It sure is. If you're up to it, first turn off all power and check the fan's connection + be sure it can run freely (no dust etc)

If that's ok you need to check / have the latest control software for this one and see if that can help. I hope you haven't OC'd the card? Post back if you need more explanation...

I went to check the fan, and it is broken in half...

That would explain why it isn't spinning.

I have not overclocked the device and the box says it has a lifetime warranty, so hopefully they will honor it.

I noticed one of the events involved atikmpag.sys which I am guessing has something to do with my ATI video card.

Yep... Guess you've gotten to the core of the problem. Hope you get a replace!
