Solved Blue screen While Defragging

Well this is strange i was Defragging with Defraggler Latest version (2.10.424) 64 Bit and i left to room and came back to see a Blue screen i have no idea why this happened i have my mini dump hope i can get some help.

It is difficult to find any useful information with only one .dmp file. Yours relates to the graphics card drivers or possibly to DirectX. DirectX comes installed with Windows, so this may indicate Windows corruption. It may also be that you have corrupted drivers or a graphics card hardware problem.

• If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.
  
  
• Check Windows for corruption. Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html up to three times to fix all errors with a restart in between each. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations. Follow the steps for Diagnosing basic problems with DirectX. To re-install your display card drivers as outlined in the DirectX link, use the following steps.

1. Download the drivers you want for your display card(s)
2. Click Start Menu
3. Click Control Panel
4. Click Uninstall a program
5. For NVIDIA:
   • Uninstall the NVIDIA Graphics Driver (this should uninstall all NVIDIA software and drivers)
   • Restart your computer
   • Make sure NVIDIA 3D Vision Driver, NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player, NVIDIA HD Audio Driver, and NVIDIA PhysX System Software are not still listed under Uninstall a program through Control Panel
   • If any remain of the above, uninstall one at a time
   • If asked to restart after uninstalling any of the above, do so, and continue uninstalling any remaining NVIDIA items until all are removed
6. Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
7. Install the driver you selected for the display cards once Windows starts

Remember to try multiple versions of the graphics drivers, download them fresh, and install the freshly downloaded drivers.

I really doubt window is Corrupted Os install is less than a month old and it may be the new 300 Series driver from nvidia but the strange thing is im playing my game right now i have no issues it was during a Defrag if i blue screen again i can post the next Dmp file and too see if you can see a pattern before i take action.

Blue screened again i feel like this is Hardware related specifically my Power supply because it power cycles 2 times if the Power button on the power supply is switched off or the cable is unplugged after turned back on or Plugged in attempting to power the computer it will turn on for a second two times then the third attempt it will power on and boot normally and also to note after i had this blue screen i would hang on the bios splash screen restarting is no help i don't hold the power button i just press the power button and it goes off wait a second and push it again and it comes back on with a normal boot so as i said this MIGHT be hardware related but either way here is my minidump lemme know what you think is going on

not sure if this matters or not but at the time of blue screen the first time when defragging i had nothing opened in backround unnecessary such as Skype msn etc etc and i just got done defragging with Defraggler while watching Some YouTube Videos and it finished the defrag No problem just thought i would post that here that it is not software related bsod

There are a couple of things missing in your system specs.
1. is that really a 75 GB HDD?

2. How much ram?

3. Have you installed SP1?

See following for guidance.
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec (left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

ADD the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
“system manufacturer” block, for example,
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

HOW TO POST A SNAPSHOT OF DISK MANAGEMENT DISPLAY
Run disk management:
WIN | type DISKMGMT.MSC | ENTER
This method gives you a display without the unneeded navigation pane.
WIN=key with Microsoft logo on top.

Maximize the output of Disk Management:
ALT-Spacebar key combo | X key (selects Maximize) |
Drag the field separators (such as between Status and Capacity) to show entire field.


Make a snapshot:
WIN | type SNIPPING | ENTER | New
Drag the cursor around the area you want to snip.
File | Save as | select save location and name | Save


Post the snapshot:
Post a File or Screenshot in Seven Forums

Crashes indicate your hard disk controller driver. I suspect your chipset drivers that are out of date.

Crashes may be due to Defraggler:

• I personally do not recommend 3rd party defrag tools. I have seen them damage restore points and even cause blue screen crashes. Windows has some nice command line flags for the defrag command that will accomplish the same tasks as 3rd party programs. The -b and -w flags will defrag boot files and the boot registry items as well as compact the data to the center of the disk for faster access.
  defrag c: -b
  defrag -c -v -w
  ​
  The first command optimizes boot performance for the Windows drive by defragmenting boot files and boot registry items.
  
  The second command includes all drives on the system through the -c command and optimizes the drives by compacting the data to the center of the disk. Verbose output through the -v option is optional to provide the user with more information about the defrag tasks. I would also suggest removing avast! with the avast! uninstall utility, downloading a fresh copy of avast!, and installing the software fresh. It may be corrupted.

the defraggler i can understand i removed it but avast is not corrupted it updates fine and has never gave me a problem but i'll do it anyways

Update to this Defraggler has been Uninstalled and Avast Has Been Reiinstalled With a Fresh install I Guess we Just wait now and see what happens
