Recently (ie over the last five days), my computer has suffered Blue Screens of Death on two separate occasions, with the last one being three days ago. I have also had two separate warning windows pop up, saying "Available memory is less than 15 MB," even though my Computer folder tells me that I still have 528 GB free.
I've tried using Event Viewer to backtrack these events. The last time I recieved the MB message (which was earlier today), Event Viewer logged a "DNS Client Events" warning and an error in the Bonjour Service. As for the last Blue Screen, I THINK it showed a DistributedCom Error (the text reads: The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID (LONG STRING OF NUMERALS HERE) and APPID (OTHER STRING OF NUMERALS)* to the user NT/Authority/System SID (BRACKETED NUMERALS)* from address LocalHost.
Now, I am going to flat out admit that I am a complete newbie when it comes to anything other than basic applications, and it wouldn't surprise me if the Event Viewer stuff I posted is completely unrelated to the problems I'm having. Either way, does anyone here have any idea of what might be going on with my computer, and how I can fix it?
*I would copy this, but I am unsure of how sensitive this data is.
