please help me regarding my laptop's bluetooth device.

I have been using my laptop's bluetooth device to transfer files so right now i want to know how to install a bluetooth driver on my laptop so that i can change the old bluetooth settings.

Have you been to the manufacturer of your laptop to see if they have new drivers, that is if the Bluetooth came already installed when you got the laptop ?

What settings is it that you want to alter, you say that you have already been using it to transfer files, by the way what are you transferring to, is it to another computer on a network or is it to a phone ?

Please give the experts as many details as possible so they can help, the name and model number of whatever it is you are using will help.

yes i have been on the manufacturer and downloaded the bluetooth device but I don;t know to install the device. ^_^
I want to alter my bluetooth device because I thought that If there will be a new device for bluetooth everything will be ok.
I used to transfer sounds and pictures and send it to a phone using bluetooth connection but right now i cannot search and send file using my bluetooth. (I can't even search for devices while turning on the bluetooth button)
and last thing when i turn on the bluetooth device there is no icon shown below the taskbar.
