hey first thread...

im using a alienware m15x
windows 7 home premium 64bit OS

i formated my lap... istalled all the most updated dell drivers
an hour ago this dell tech changed my bluetooth hardware... installed driver
but the problem seems to be with windows...

i dont have "bluetooth devices" on control panel anywere...
i enabled in services the bluetooth service
i went to the bios setup bluetooth is enabled

clicking the "bluetooth" app or whatever does nothing
when i right click some file and "send to... bluetooth" it says to check that bluetooth is enabled...
my lap does not have any button to enable bluetooth... it only has the "wireless" phisical button to enable or disable wireless...

so... any guess? i cant pair my phone with my lap cause the "bluetooth devices" is missing in control panel/hardware and sounds...

on "control panel/hardware and sounds/printers and disp"
theres the "dell wireless 370 bluetooth mini card"
properties on this icon says everything is functional...

i formated my lap several times but i cannot make the bluetooth devices icon reappears on control panel i remember that icon made bluetooth enable so my phone could see it... and now i can see my blutooth card on my phone but my lap cannot pair with any bluetooth or cannot do anything related to bluetooth... so? help plz :S

Hello Tehkaztorer, welcome!

1st question is if you're 100% sure BT is enabled in your BIOS under the advanced menu:

Bluetooth
Receiver
Allows you to enable or disable the internal Bluetooth
device.
• Disabled: The internal Bluetooth device is off and is
not visible to the operating system.
• Enabled: The internal Bluetooth device is enabled.

If you are... has that Dell techie proven to you that BT is working?

The following quote seems to state that windows does recognise your card?
on "control panel/hardware and sounds/printers and disp"
theres the "dell wireless 370 bluetooth mini card"
properties on this icon says everything is functional...

Have you tried downloading Dells latest drivers for that card?
