I have an Acer Aspire 5720z, and there is a BlueTooth button on my laptop. When I press it, it says "No BlueTooth Device"

I never really paid any attention to the BlueTooth, but I bought a BlueTooth mouse today, and I cannot get it to work.

There are no BlueTooth things at all on my computer, and When I try to install BlueTooth drivers, it says that I need to enable my BlueTooth but I don't know how!!

Helllllllp please

Acer laptops dont always come with the bluetooth modules installed, there sometimes sold as 'Bluetooth Ready' meaning you can buy an additional module for it. If you have a look for the exact model number underneath, I'll have a look about for you to see if it comes with one already installed.

Hey and welcome. You need to give us tons more info before we can help you much. What windows version (32 bit or 64). It would help if you filled in the system specs in your control panel. First off. Are you sure that you do have Blue tooth in the computer?

Waiting for more info

Ken

i'm giving up, I don't even have blue tooth in my control panel. I don't get why they would put a BlueTooth button on it when its not there. I just know i'll never buy an Acer ever again...

I have a problem too, but on my desktop. I´ve instaled the proper drivers, but still i have the troubleshoot icon on my nokia N80, and i still cant tranfers anything. The troubleshoot first lead me to a signed bluetooth driver. Nothing wrong with it, installed normally, rebooted and still the icon apears and now leads me to Nokia Pc Suite...?! Im not going to install that bloated crap, and i was hoping i couldnt need a third party app (like bluesoleil) like i did in Vista. Any sugestions?

Cheers to all.

Bluetooth device unrecognised

I am having the same problem with my onboard bluetooth.
I have a sony vaio (VGN-SZ58GN) the onboard bluetooth worked fine under vista, however I upgraded it to 32bit Windows 7 and now it doesn't detect the onboard bluetooth... somewhat annoying as I use a bluetooth mouse.
The sony driver package uses the a Sony version of the Toshiba bluetooth stack.
I uninstalled the drivers and it detected and installed a default windows bluetooth manager which worked fine once and then disappeared...
When I consequently attempted to reinstall the sony/toshiba bluetooth software i had to plug in a bluetooth dongle (which it had no problem detecting)... and now I still can't detect the onboard bluetooth.
I really really don't want to have to use a dongle - may as well have a cable...
