Hello

The bluetooth icon in my notification area is gone, and I have no idea how to bring it back.

Mini Bluetooth® V4.0 USB Adapter

This is my bluetooth 4.0 USB dongle. I have been searching on google but I didn't find a solution. I am using windows 7 ultimate edition 64 bit.

the bluetooth icon doesn't appear in the notification area.

i have tried reinstalling the drivers many times, and the bluetooth icon appears in the notification area after the drivers are installed, but after a few days, the bluetooth icon disappears again.

I was browsing the bluetooth installation folder, and I found a program named BTTray.exe

I guess this is the program that starts the bluetooth in the notification area? When I click on it, nothing happens.

Also, when searching for bluetooth using windows search, there are no programs named bluetooth.exe showing up, so I do not even know how to start up bluetooth and pair my devices.

I need to make bluetooth start in order to pair my headphones and my smartphone with bluetooth.

I managed to get to icon back by downloading and reinstalling the drivers from broadcoms website.

It also seems the bluetooth drivers are preinstalled on windows 10.
