I recently purchased Blur from steam store as it was on offer, downloaded and installed it on my desktop pc but whenever I try to start the game, screen blacks out and game won't start. Also no key on keyboard works and I've to force the PC to shut down and restart again.

I tried it on my laptop (HP Pavilion DV6-6102sa) and it works fine.

I can play other games (BF3, MW3, Crysis etc) without any problem on my desktop. Can anyone tell what might be the cause of it?

Thanks

It could be that your computer doesn't have what is needed to play Blur at this time... check what you need to play Blur than check your graphics card and all that to see what you have and don't have for the game. It might just be your save file location (mainly C:, but others might have something different), it might not have enough space to save the game to the specified folder. Try adding another drive to save to and it might work. I hope this helps.

My system specs:

OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64
CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 - 2.4GHz
Motherboard Asus P5E3 LGA775 Intel X38
Memory Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3 1600MHz CL9 8GB DIMM
Graphics Card XFX HD 5770 1GB DDR5 x 2 (CrossfireX)

I guess these are well enough to run blur at any resolution.:devil:

All drivers are updated to latest versions.

Whenever I run the game, screen blacks out and nothing happens afterwards. I've to restart computer by pressing reset button. I don't think it has anything to do with storage space.

sounds like a video driver problem possibly try uninstalling your drivers then use driver sweeper to clear any left amd drivers. Then reinstall your drivers and then try running it again.
