Boot a full version of Win7 from usb

Yep, you've got it right, its here! Windows 7 bootable from an external hdd or flash drive!!! You don't even need a working hard drive in your current computer to complete it!

Problem with that is that you start in square 1 every time you boot because nothing is being retained - no data, no setting, no download, no nothing.
If you want to play around with this kind of setup, use Fedora on a stick. I have one, it's fun - if you don't want to accomplish anything. And you need no key.

Speeds are near regular hdd speed with an external hdd (200 Mbps), although I am not sure about flash drives.

For the CD and Activation you must find that yourself as I will not go to Pirate Activities.

And I'm not sure what whs is trying to say, it works absolutely fine, it keeps settings (I know because I am using Chrome and it retains the skin, also the background and visual settings remain after reboot!)

The question is: How are you able to activate Win7 on an external HD when the hardware changes depending on which mobo it is plugged into?
 
No idea... It just happened to work for me. However, the process is fine, I've done it to about 3 or 4 computers already, it helps alot if your laptop causes your harddrive to crash every time you use it like mine >.<
