Boot can't complete

Not sure what happened but yesterday did a reboot and computer just hung after starting, no access via mouse or keyboard. Tried booting from Windows 7 install disk and did the recommended repair via the repair console but hasn't helped, did chkdsk also.

Cannot find a way to change the booting, i.e. msconfig not available. Tried to use a repair disk but it was made on a 32 bit machine so my 64 bit wouldn't allow it.

I removed the drive from the computer and put it in an external case and it can be accessed from another computer so if I can read the file, I guess it salvageable but other computer won't allow a disk clone or image backup and don't know why, tried several different backup programs/utilities.

Hope someone can figure this one out, the big kicker is that no access via mouse or keyboard, they seem to be dead, maybe drivers are missing but wouldn't know where to put them if I had them.

Go ahead and create a 64-bit repair disc. You will need to use method 2 unless you have access to another 64-bit machine.

Partition Delete

You can actually delete the 100MB partition: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/71363-system-reserved-partition-delete.html

If you have the Windows installation DVD, you don't need to create a repair disc.

Now where does the boot hang?

Quite honestly, not sure it really hangs since everything seems to be started but no access to the system via keyboard, mouse and anything I can figure.

I have the install disk and noticed that I was able to install Win 7 on another drive and it did not delete and files or format the disk although there was no windows OS on the drive.

didn't work, same scenario, I've backed up the drive and have another copy of Win 7 running, will try to rewrite OS from install disk, any suggestions?

what is this not enough memory to write PCI option ROM anyway?
