Solved "Boot device inaccessible" error during boot

Recently my PC stopped responding, so i waited (an hour), and my PC still didn't respond(no Ctrl ALT Del, no Ctrl Shift Esc) so I cut the power supply(probably not the best thing to do) and restarted. After starting up the login screen didn't appear, instead i got a black screen(PC still running), so I cut the power supply(again probably not the best thing to do) and restarted. Like I expected I got a BIOS error screen telling me there went something wrong and asking to start normally or to start startup repair. No matter what i chose, I always got the following error:

It advised me to use the installation DVD and select repair system. So I did what it said But the setup was unable to repair my PC. It asks me if I want to send details to MS In this dialog I choose view problem details and I get this:

I was unable to boot from safe mode(actually unable to boot at all from my HD)And could only use the installation DVD to boot so I was unable to run a scan of the file reported to be the problem, on my PC. I ran a scan of the file I uploaded, on another PC with MS Security essentials, it was clean. I also ran a chkdsk /f/r on my C-drive and my D(boot)-drive. I know how to run chkdsk /f/r but I have absolutely no clue of what the results mean. So I don't know what to do now.

At first I hoped The problem would be solved because the check on D:\ said:

PS: I can access my files (by choosing drivers during startup repair, locating a .sys file, choosing open with, notepad, in notepad choosing open and select all files)and move them to my external hard disk and vice versa in case i need to upload the corrupt file or download something to repair my PC

PS2: I don't know whether you can use the .sys file or not but I decided to attach it to this post

I ran the HD test but it didn't find any problems.

I think a clean install would solve the problem but then I would lose all my installed software and documents since I don't have a backup.:o
An upgrade won't work since it has to run within windows.
I can copy all my documents to an external HD(see first post)
I can do the same with my "program files"-folder but I'm afraid a clean install would delete all the registry files so my software wont work anymore so...

Is there any (bootable) way to backup my software and/or settings?

Losing my software would be a disaster

Thank you for your reply but it didn't solve my problem because I would lose information from the registry if I did a clean install, so some software won't work.

The tutorial is very nice But I already knew how to copy files from my PC:

You can't easily backup your programs as they are tied to the hardware ID's on your system (which will change if you reinstall Windows).

The easiest way is to create an image of your hard drive, and then install that image onto another computer. But there's a chance that the differences in hardware will cause this to fail.

The greatest chance of success for you would be to make an image of the current system.
Then install another hard drive of the same make and model (and preferably the same firmware revision) in the computer.
Then restore the image to the new hard drive and see if that works.

Just taking over this thread instead of starting another one.
I was checking my e-mail when i got a BSOD.
After the restart i got the same error:
Status: 0xc000000e

Info: The boot selection failed because a required boot device is inaccessible This scared me slightly so i took my windows 7 Ultimate disc, put in the drive te restore the PC.
No matter what i tried, i kept getting this error, windows would not even start from the disc.
this frightened me so i started googling.
Most issues i noticed are related to partitions and MBR.
So i downloaded HIVEN Restore CD (can i mention that here?) on my laptp, burned it and started with the MBR tools.
After a million restarts, reseating the RAM, reconnecting the 2 HDD's in different orders i finally got the windows disc to start. But now the HDD refuses to start as it simply states that there might be a virus on it.
Just to be sure i bult a bootable antivirus stick from Kapersky which didnot work so i did it again with AVG which worked after another ten restarts.
Now i am at the point where i can use the data HDD as the first drive so at least the windows disc will start.
The computer recognises the 2nd drive (which actually contains windows on 1 partition) but cannot read from it.
when i want to use a system restore nothing can be found (i make restore point at least once a week)
The mentioned scan doesnot give me anything strange.
so now i do a chkdsk /f/r hoping it will be resolved.

But the main issue is: why the **** did this happen as i didnot change/built/updated anything lately
Is it truly a virus that MSE and AVG missed or what else?
And if the chkdsk doesn't solve it, what other options remain, besides clean reinstallation?
If anybody have any suggestons it would be highly appreciated and the person who gets me fixed before 2012 will get a virtual kiss ;-)

Never mind, issue is sovled.
The Samsung HDD 103 SJ was undetectable for windows but all partition programs saw it as a broken disc.
I used the seagate tool and reinstalled windows on a cleaned disc. Now it recognises the disc again and i have normal acces to it.

what seagate tool? i thought you might have meant seatools and ran that, but it looks like it was just a testing utility (and it passed)

I used the seagate DiscWizard.
In the end, after it restarted again, the message popped up again.
I did the following things in this order to get it up and running againa:
I disconnected and reconnected everything, like a new built up (finally gave me a good reason to clean up some cables neatly inside)
Than i flipped the mobo battery for a few minutes.
Took out 1 RAM module.
Hooked it up, pressed the on switch for about 30 seconds and in the BIOS i disabled all HDD from booting.
It booted from the win7 CD and i could do a fresh install without any error at all.
Which of the actions was exactly the correct one i don't know and frankly i don't care either, it is up and running again and i was able to save my important data.
