Boot Failed error at windows 7 startup

guys,
I cloned a previous hdd that had startup problems to a new hdd b'cos of bad sectors. They new hdd did not work either so I did a clean install afterwards. during the clean install, the installation will not let me delete a small partition (1.44GB) that was supposedly reserved by the system (I found out later that this probably have some boot info -the result of my previous cloning).
Now my issue after the clean is that an "Boot failed..." error message appears just before Windows starts. I cannot even pause it to read all the message b'cos it's so fast. Nevertheless, Windows starts alright and I am able to do everything afterwards. How do I clear this message? When I deleted this small partition, windows failed to start so I restored it. I have attached an image of the disk partition. Thank you.

It's your original OEM REcovery partition which likely won't run after reinstall but you can try queuing it up from boot using the key given on first screen to see.

But since you probably have no need for it anyway, it would normally be deleted during install using the Custom install>Drive Options shown in Step 7 of Clean Install Windows 7.

Your current config has no System flag which is likely fatal. If you try to repair it with the Active flag on Recovery partition you may have problems. I would try to Mark C Partition Active and run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times until Win7 starts with System Active flags on C.

If this won't work then you can try running the 3 repairs with Active flag on Recovery, but I would instead reinstall to finally get rid of that and all other partitions during Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

If it starts with System flag on C and you want to recover the Recovery space use Partition Wizard bootable CD to Delete it then resize C to the left as shown in Partition Wizard boot CD Resize Partition - Video Help.
