Here's my setup:

Corrupt Vista install on Primary HD
Win 7 (and soon to be Linux and maybe XP) on a second.

I want to be able to take out the primary hd to move it to a NAS unit and just have the second hd in. Problem is, the current bootloader is on the Vista drive. I need to know if there is a way to move this to the Win 7 HD without having to reinstall Win 7 at this time, though I know I will have to when it is released.

Hopefully this is possible. Can anyone help me out?

At first, the Windows 7 recovery couldn't see my Windows 7 install, so something else was going on.

I used EasyBCD to write the mbr to the drive I wanted to keep in the system and checked it in Disk Management. The Win 7 partition now said that it was the boot partition, but still not system. I rebooted to the install dvd and entered the recovery options. This time it did see the windows 7 partition, so I shut down and removed the Vista hard drive. Booted back to the Win 7 dvd and ran the startup repair (which literally ran for about 10 seconds), rebooted and everything works now.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
