Boot Manager Problems

I know there is millions of posts about this but nothing i've tried is working...

Firstly i'd like to mention i've never used dual booting, i've never ran more than 1 OS on this computer...

When i start up the computer i get the dreaded "DISC BOOT FAILURE" message.
IF i have the Windows 7 or even the Vista dvd in my primary dvd drive i don't get that message and i will load into windows.

I've been having this problem for ages now, even when i was on Vista before i formatted to 7 a few days ago...

I thought formatting would fix this problem but it hasn't, it seems it is still not finding the boot manager...

I've used EasyBCD to check the installation of the boot manager and it says everything is there and nothing is corrupt...

I've even tried reinstalling the boot manager...

Nothing is working, this is really getting on my nerves now lol as it takes me ages to boot into windows and i'm not very patient when it comes to rebooting ;)

I'd appreciate any suggestions or help on this, thanks :)

I know this is probably an unnecessary, but do you have your hard drive set as the first boot device in the BIOS??

No it's second, first is the DVD drive but if there is no dvd in the drive then it will try to boot from the hard drive instead...
Therefore finding the boot manger installed and booting with that instead of the dvd...

That's why i'm confused as it's obviously not doing that :(

I suggest setting your BIOS back to default (if it's an option).
As you haven't taken the time to fill out your specs i'll assume that it's an IDE cable to a 50TB HDD, check the IDE cable, and if possible, replace it to see if that is what the problem is.
P.S I doubt that it's a boot manager problem, i think you may be barking up the wrong tree there

You're right it isn't a boot manager problem :)

I've found that it was the bios hard drive priority list that was in the wrong order and it was trying to boot from my secondary drive lol

Thanks for the help :)
