Boot options

As I wrote earlier I can't interact with everything shown in the tab boot.
That's why I'm posting here.

I can do everything in msconfig,EXCEPT under the boottab.
As an antivirusprogram I have Microsoftsecurityessentials.
With Patches I mean every Patch and Update published by Microsoft, for the Windows 7 operatingsystem.

Yes I'm dualbooting into linux, but that isn't really my problem right now for it works fine.

There is Master Boot Record ,a system from which you boot but i don't know what a Master Boot system is but i'm catching your drift ^^.
So here is the information:
Fedora12
Default for booting is Windows7 but that shouldn't cause the problem.

That was the first thing I did.
I even unchecked hide protected operating system files.
It isn't there.

But speaking of it:
The 100Mb volume I was talking about earlier, isn't empty.
It's just that I can't view the content.
Approx. 24Mb are taken.
It seems that this is the reason that you don't find C:\Boot, because it is in the 100MB partition.
When viewing that partition in Disk Management, doesn't it list it as "Boot" among it functions?

is grub Bootloader on /dev/sda, which is the default when installing Fedora., or W7.

Fedora is very aggressive as far as that goes.

BTW, i think bcdedit is a type of linux/ unix program. { ( anyone prove me wrong ) just an aside }

It is so upsetting....

All the time I was to hunt down this problem and then everythingchanges within secs
and the pronblem is a little one.
Just had a little chat with a friend ob one of my simblings.
Turned out not C is to be set active but rather the bootpartition.

I can now configure the bootconfiguration.
Interesting thing is, now the booting takes longer.
Thanks all of you for the input, support and the efforts you undertook while trying to help me.
sincerly

P.s.:What I think happed was that Windows bootet propperly but since the partition wasn't marked as active it forgot this settings.

Don't worry about it! We have all been there, done that, and some of us are not willing to admit it like you just have! I applaud you!! :) ;) :)

No education is free ... but at least this one is fun?

Cheers!
