Forgive my lack of terminology. During boot up I was getting a new "Windows 7" screen, one with 3 colored balls moving toward you and then exploding. I don't get that screen anymore. I'm getting the "old" Vista running lights screen. Am I imagining this or did they change this in RC1?

Have you installed any watermark hacks/cracks recently? Due to the instability of them it could be a possible cause.

lol I have beta tested every possible release since 7000 inclusive and have not ever seen this. Sounds interesting though heh. Did you perhaps install from a torrent you downloaded, which may have been altered before you got it?

I downloaded RC1, build 7100 directly from Microsoft. The only thing I'm doing is dual booting with Vista using Easy BCD. I have been using the beta versions for a few months. I just can't remember if this boot screen was original with the install or something else happened. I'm going to use msconfig to eliminate the gui during boot to see what happens........

Well, booting with no gui did just that. No screen at all. I unchecked it and booted again only to see the Vista boot screen come up again. I have to conclude that somehow while installing Easy BCD that this issue has arisen. Anybody know how I would get the Windows 7 gui back? This would seem to be some kind of registry hack. Although there is a program that I used in Vista that allowed you to change the gui screen.

YupYup and jfar found it. Thanks. It was me screwing with Easy BCD. I fixed and tested it. I got the Windows 7 gui again. It wasn't 3 colored balls but 4..................I guess my attention to details could be better..............thanks.
