I have an OEM version of windows 7 which has been running fine I've come across boot issues before and manage them pretty well but the issue I have currently is pretty anoying, I have a free licenced version of some software Macrium refelct.. which gives me acess to cmd prompt on win PE on a USB drive.

I've tyred the bootrec /fixmbr .. fixboot ..procedure but it doesn't seem to do anything eg.
bootrec /fixmbr
(blank) just blank no error no successful
same with /fixboot
Diskpart shows 2 drives and my usb drive
the windows drive shows 3 parts... 223gb ntfs primary 128mb reserved and 100mb Sys
the sys part doesnt have a drive letter wasn't sure if that's right

Welcome to the forum. You don't state what the problem is if you can't boot what errors do you get is the disk got it MBR disk? The system reserved is what you boot from some system specs would help

Mate as per what Samuris has said and what has me confused is why you should want to access command prompt from Macrium Reflect when it is as simple as hitting Start > type cmd > right clicking it > run as admin.

You can always minimise anything running when you do that if you want to do it like that.

Another good way of looking at your drives is through Partition Wizard Best Free Partition Manager for Windows | MiniTool Partition Free - very useful tool.

sorry I'm getting a "reboot and select proper boot device"
I can't load into windows 7
I have a sata 250gb ssd a 2 tb hdd and a dvd r drive.. the bios settings have the ssd as 1st boot device marked as PM(primary master) dvd is 2nd boot device SM.
the 2tb is listed in the hd boot section, which the ssd 1st and 2tb 2nd on the list marked PSLAVE.

hope that cleared things up... I had this problem around 8months ago I ended up swapping the ports to make my windows SSD
in the 1st sata port which is probably where it should have been anyway.. I guess many of you think we'll do that again but I think I'll get this again so I'd like to know what's going on... that and I like a challenge :D

Ok mate now what I am not sure about is why your boot drive is MBR and not a GPT disk.

See this What’s the Difference Between GPT and MBR When Partitioning a Drive? Now it is a simple process to chnage the disk using Partition Wizard Best Free Partition Manager for Windows | MiniTool Partition Free

Now before you go ahead an do that I would disconnect all drives except the boot drive and then power up to see what happens.

I don't know if you are familiar with EUFI BIOS but there are other settings you need to have in place. I am no expert so I cannot go into any great detail but there are other members who can help.

But lets try the one drive boot first.

I meant to add read the board manual too it is often a good place to see what is what .
