Solved boot up menu

When i boot up, i see a screen showing a menu for f keys and what they do. problem is they appear for about 2 seconds. not nearly enough time to read or select if need be. is there a way to change the time this menu screen stays on. maybe to 10 seconds. Win 7 premium

What do you mean by 'f keys'? Why is it important to read it, how does it look?

If you are referring to the message that appears when you boot up that informs you which key to press to enter the BIOS, then I'm sorry, but you can't adjust that delay as it's built-in to the BIOS routine.

What do you mean by 'f keys'?

These are the Function Keys located above the main section of your keyboard, usually in blocks of 4 keys and are labelled F1 - F12.

yes, the boot up sequence..shows a brief pic of f key functions..such as f8 for safe mode...but this screen seems to show for recovery and repair functions and what keys to press. it seems like it would be important if you needed to boot to a function if your having problems.

WINDOWS KEY +R
TYPE msconfig click ok
IN WINDOWS CONFIGURATION WIINDOW click boot tab
IN THE TIMEOUT SECTION put your desired time in
CLICK OK
RESTART PC IF WINDOWS PROMPS YOU
