Hi

That error message means your system is trying to boot from LAN ( called PXE boot - used in enterprise environment) and since the system is not configured to boot from a PXE server, it's showing the error message instead.

You may ask why your system is trying to boot from LAN instead of hard drive. Here is why ;

Usually this is the boot device priority of a typical computer.

Hard drive -->DVD ROM --> Removable media --> LAN

BIOS will try to boot from the first boot device and if it is not present or not bootable, it will try the next device. So the PXE boot error message means either one of the following scenario.

1. HDD has no OS/not-partitioned so BIOS is trying to boot from an alternate boot device which is LAN in your case.

2. System is not detecting a hard drive so it's trying to boot from the next device - LAN.

I would try the below steps.

1. Enter BIOS setup and check whether it detected the hard drive. If yes, configure it as the first boot device and retry.

2. If no hard drive is detected, carefully unplug the HDD from it's bay and reconnect. Then retry again.

Let us know your findings.
