Bootmgr missing HP Mini no disc drive

Hi There,

I have a HP Mini netbook which is just out of warranty. When I start computer i get a black screen with the message bootmgr missing.

I have tried recovering system using start up recovery, etc, etc but still end up at same screen.

I can get into the command prompt screen but have no idea what to do next...

All the help i have found on the web is for laptops/pcs with a disc drive, mine doesnt have one.

I am not an expert on computers so please make everything easy to understand. I dont have any friends/family running windows 7 either so they cant help.

Here are the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot.

If it's infected it may not ever repair until it is cleaned up. However you can try triggering Startup Repair from F8 System Recovery Options to see if you can get an easier fix first. It may need to run a few times though.

If not everything you need including an installer to do the advanced repairs or if necessary reinstall is in the blue link.
