Hi all, I have a toshiba nb505 that was recently in the startup repair loop which I attempted to fix by toshiba recovery setup (resetting to factory settings) which fAiled. Then I used the f8 key at the startup (finally worked) but it landed me on the revocery setup and stayed on an "initializing..." state for hours so I turned off my netbook. Upon the restart after the Toshiba logo, "BOOTMGR missing. Press Ctrl+alt+del"appeared,I've read several forums and i dont have the windows 7 disc nor does holding the f8 key help me anymore.

Can someone tell me what I gotta do to get rid of this damn message and my my netbook usable again?? PLEASE.

We cannot assume the PC is not infected, causing the boot failure. First step is to disinfect.

Work through these steps for when Windows 7 fails to boot. Ask back any questions as you work as I will be around all day today.

If the System Recovery Options are not accessible via F8, and you have no other WIn7 computer to Create System Repair Disc then we can help you obtain a Win7 installer ISO to burn to DVD or write to flash stick to use for repairs or Clean Reinstall Windows 7 Factory OEM, if Factory Recovery will no longer run and you didn't make the disks.
