Hi everyone. So I just picked up a new motherboard (ASRock K10N78D) installed windows 7 x64 and it all worked fine. Now I was getting everything setup and rebooted and it gets stuck on the windows loading screen. So I tried reinstalling windows 7 x64 like a billion different ways and still no go. But now I get all the way to the "Setup is running Windows for the first time" screen then about 4 seconds into it, it reboots my computer completely then continues in an infinite loop. Like I said it worked good for about 1hr but after rebooting, nothing.

Ive tried
Shorting CMOS jumper.
Removing the CMOS battery.
flashing to every other bios available.
booting in safe mode (but errors saying windows first time setup needs to run out of safe mode)
Swapping around my 2x2GB modules to see if memory is dead.
I installed a new main IDE hard drive, I even tried changing the IDE cable.
I tried unplugging all the unneeded components.
I tried removing the disc when I boot into the part where it reboots.
I also have the fourth unlocked but tried disabling it, but no difference.

if your using a ide drive did you set the jumper to master? do you have the ide cable pluged in right? should
be motherboard / master / slave.

hope that helps

another thing you can look at is your temps.you said you replaced the motherboard maybe your heatsink is not set right on the cpu. you should be able to check the temps in your bios. also you have a 4pin power connector on your board make sure it didn't get unpluged
cause i think that will stop your system from booting..

not sure what else you can do ..... sorry
maybe it's the motherboard . can you put the old board back in and see if it works with it.
if it works with the old board sent the new board back for replacement...

Could be a video problem with your 46" monitor. Do you have a smaller monitor with a vga connection you can try for install ?

A few other things to try at this point:

If it appears the reboot loop is caused by failure during device driver-loading and startup phase, boot into Device manager to try uninstalling suspect devices starting with Display Adapter. This may allow it to start so you can install the correct driver. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/15856-device-manager-access-during-windows-7-installation.html

Try setting HD as first boot device, then boot installer using BIOS one-time Boot Menu.

Try setting SATA controller to AHCI first, then IDE mode if neccessary.

Try removing all but 2gb of RAM, then swap sticks.

You can install Win7 to HD on another computer (with it's HD unplugged) then move it back to problem machine, boot Paragon Adaptive Restore CD to remove all drivers and prepare it to start on new hardware.

Or take an image of any Win7 install of your version with Acronis with Universal Restore, reimage to the HD and it will start up, change Product key at Computer>Properties or by running slmg -ipk (type Product Key)

Ok guys so I did a quick swap over and sure enough it booted up fine! Im stoked so far, the part that was after it usually rebooted was when it check video performance so like you guys said its probably the 46" lcd or just the video in general. So im going to swap it again then it should be good ill keep you guys posted thanks guys!!

Ok guys expire that last post of mine, so after it booted up completely same thing happened it rebooted then is doing the same problem as before on the other motherboard. Its wierd because everything was working 100% before I installed it into this motherboard, bad luck I guess. So I guess I routed out the problem being the mobo right? I format all my computers every 3-5 months and have never had this problem its a pain in the butt, and I really appreciate all the help guys you guys are all super helpful!:D

So im going to try using gregs solution with the driver removal and device disabling hopefully that will work.

Ok so kinda wierd something I didnt see before, when I go to format Disk 0 Part 1 under install windows, it has the exclamation point saying windows cannot be installed on this disk because my computers hardware may not support booting to this disk and to ensure that disk controller is enabled. any ideas if this could be the cause?

Boot free Partition Wizard bootable CD to see if you have a Dynamic Disk. If so, convert to Basic from Disk tab. You can also wipe the HD from there as you should before trying install. Free Download Magic Partition Manager Software - Partition Wizard Online

Use the DVD Custom>Drive options to partition and format: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/31402-clean-install-upgrade-windows-7-version.html

Try setting SATA controller in BIOS setup to AHCI first, then IDE mode if necessary.

How to convert Dynamic Disk using DISKPART: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc776315(WS.10).aspx

Ok did that trick and it worked its completely booted up, to mention I actually used my old mobo without the 4850 but with integrated video to do it. I also had it plugged via VGA into my projector instead of my 46" lcd. So it might actually be the video card eh?

Ok so I put the drive back into the new asrock mobo and it booted up once then I restarted after it installed some drivers and asked me to reboot and it got stuck on a black blank screen after the windows is loading icon, So I booted into safe mode successfully and went to device manager and the driver that is missing is "Coprocessor", So I installed the win 7 drivers from asrock that went away and I think if I uninstall the windows video drivers and install the latest ati in safemode i should be set
